Kickoff!

Hi Everyone,
This is my first shot at doing anything like this, so I'm not sure if there are "rights" or "wrongs" to watch for, so forgive me for protocol boo boos.
So, what's this all about? Well, as the header says, it's about "issues". Issues that bother me and bother you, that we agree on. Please understand that this is not about the petty gripes of life, but the social, legal and economic issues where we share the role of victim. The intent is for some intelligent (hopefully) dialog where the issues are not only discussed, but some directions can be focused on by some practical means. Whether we decide to boycott a certain chain store, or take it to our polls when we vote, we need to be united as citizens to affect a change. That change CAN happen if we are all on the same page.
Now, I realize that this is opening a big can of worms, and sometimes things can get carried away to the extreme. This is not an emotional sounding board, but rather a place to seek common ground and ideas on how to find practical ways, if any, to combat the issues that are frustrating or hazardous to our lives or lifestyles.

The first topic I am going to tackle is Doctors and hospitals...and not the entire health care industry. Until I get that online, feel free to throw future topics this way, and we will see what happens.
